Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her works. She is a proponent of animal rights. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Her desire to be an artist was in part influenced from her childhood within a New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. In her first two films she received recognition and won an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. The MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained fame to the world and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she had been voted as the top female box office starter in the whole world. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
