Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Later, in 1956, she made her big break with a performance on Broadway with Li'l Abner. In the year 1957, she released her debut music album called It's time for Tina. Louise debuted on the screen in Hollywood with God's Little Acre, a film that was released in the year 1958. She played Griselda the main character of the film. While students at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. In 1964, she signed with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise maintained a successful career balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic, as opposed to the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made her name as an accomplished director on several well-known television series including Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three where she subsequently spent her childhood and adolescence. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever for the last ten years.
